Class Starts Feb. 6!
Hello lovelies! New class session starts Feb. 6. Please note, there is a chance this could be my last class in Fargo, as my husband and I might be moving to New Mexico this summer. Nothing set in stone yet but it might be your last chance to take a class from me. I hope you can make it!

Fargo Shimmy Mob Team 2015
We did it! In spite of the cold weather we performed during the Fargo Marathon – we kept warm with our shimmies, but the hats, scarves and gloves helped too. Thank you to the whole team for braving the weather! We raised $550 $750 for the YWCA of Cass Clay during the total campaign. If you missed out on Shimmy Mob please still donate to them – they do important work!

Shimmy Mob 2015
Mark your calendars and come out early to support your local bellydancers and marathon runners! Shimmy Mob will be at mile 2 of the Fargo Marathon at Happy Joe’s Pizza in the parking lot, north location, as part of Bands On The Run. We’ve been practicing hard and we’re pumped to be performing at this great community event!
What: Shimmy Mob performance, and troupe and solo performances from local dancers
Where: Happy Joe’s Parking Lot, 3132 North Broadway & 32nd Ave N., Fargo, ND
When: Saturday, May 9, 7:30am and 8:30am
Why: Raising awareness of the awesomeness of bellydance, and raising funds for the YWCA of Cass Clay

Bad Weather Burlesque
Greetings lovely people! Lots of great stuff going on. I hope we see you at some of these events!

Classes start Feb. 28
Saturday, Feb. 28: New class session starts. Brand new music and choreography! 10 am Saturday mornings at the Spirit Room.
Saturday, April 11: Bad Weather Burlesque’s Naughty Novice Night IV. Ever want to get up on stage and show ’em what you got? Now’s your chance! At the Aquarium in Fargo. More info TBA.
Saturday, May 9: Shimmy Mob Fargo. We’ll be performing somewhere on the Fargo Marathon route, and we are supporting the YWCA of Cass Clay. Register to participate at www.shimmymob.com.
The Jasmin Jahal Saidi Workshop is being postponed until April, more info TBA.

Get ready for Dec. 6!
Nov. 8 is the last class of Fall 2014 session so if you want to work on that choreo this is your last chance! I will also be bringing a printout of the steps so you can reference that when you are practicing at home. We’ll take a little break until after Turkey Day and start up again Dec. 6, when we will be doing something totally different, but equally, if not more fun.
Please note the change in cost for punch cards. Student punch cards are still $35.

Are you ready?
Fall session is upon us in ONE MONTH! Are you ready to shimmy? I think we will be doing some veil work this time around so bring ’em if you got ’em! I will have spares for students who do not have veils.
Remember: Saturday, Sept. 6, 10am-11am; The Spirit Room, 111 Broadway, Fargo, ND.

Queerfest will benefit the Pride Collective Community Center
Hello lovely people! There is so much going on! First and foremost please check out Queerfest this weekend at the Aquarium at 9:30pm. Bad Weather Burlesque will have a bunch of guest performers as well as the wonderful regular cast to entertain you. We’re raising funds for the Pride Collective Community Center.
Pride Weekend is coming up so check out the drag extravaganza that is the Vixen Variety/BJ’s Cabaret/FM Entertainers showcase at the Garage Bar in Moorhead on Friday, August 15 at 9pm!
Bad Weather Burlesque will also be marching in the Pride parade on Sunday, August 17 at 2pm, Downtown Fargo. Come out and say hi!
My new class session starts Saturday, Sept. 6 at 10am at the Spirit Room in Fargo. Looking forward to seeing everyone after summer break!
Check out our friends up north when the Lovely Dozen hosts a series of workshops with Amy Danielson. There will be a fantastic show that Saturday night, so if you can’t make the workshops you can catch some great shimmying!

Fall 2013 Starts Sept. 7
Is the summer almost over already?! I can hardly believe it. So tie on your hip scarf and let’s get our shimmy on! First class starts Sept. 7, 10am-11am at the Spirit Room in the Lotus Studio. There will be a couple of weeks when I have obligations so I will give students due notice if a particular week is postponed.
One weekend for sure we won’t have class is Oct. 19, when I will be attending the Lovely Dozen’s workshop in Grand Forks, featuring Mahin, of Bellydance Quickies fame. I’m really excited about this opportunity, and I recommend all area dancers consider making the trip up North.
