About
Enchanting Erica has been living and dancing in Albuquerque, NM since 2016. She takes regular classes from local instructors, and attends workshops in person and online whenever possible. She is a volunteer advisory board member for New Mexico Belly Dance. In 2021 she and her dance partner took third place in the duet/trio category at Yaa Halla Y’all in Grapevine, TX.
Enchanting Erica began her bellydance journey in 1999 when she took her first class at the Fargo YMCA. She eventually went on to teach for a local non-profit. She has been a regular performer with Bad Weather Burlesque, Vixen Variety Shows, Kismet, Mistryl Shimmy Guard, and the Flaming Hips. Erica was an active part of the local Fargo dance community. She was the 2013 Fargo/Moorhead sponsor for Club Bellydance, a Shimmy Mob Team Leader in 2014 and 2015, and in ABQ for 2019, 2020 and 2022. Her mission is education and cultural appreciation of Middle Eastern Dance, and she has given talks and demonstrations for community groups, library programs and even Head Start.
Style: Egyptian Raks Sharki, Folkloric, and American Cabaret.
